What does the symbol mean? A symbol indicates that the article or news story or other type of content on the site is free to registered users. To access this content, free of charge, you need to register once, and you will then be able to log on to this content on subsequent visits. Where there is no symbol by a news story or piece of analysis or research, the content is paid-for. This content is available to subscribers to Total Telecom Online and can also be accessed on a pay-per-view basis. For how to subscribe, click here, or for pay per view, click here.
What is the difference between Total Telecom Online content and content of the Total Telecom Magazine? Total Telecom Online and Total Telecom Magazine are complementary information tools. The former delivers constantly updated breaking news, searchable archives of news and analysis back to 1997 and allows visitors to access and share viewpoints, press releases and white papers. The magazine provides more a more in-depth approach to the issues of the month.
Can I search Total Telecom Magazine content online by issue? Although the site does not search individual issues, the advanced search facility will allow you to select specific dates and types of content. Therefore, you can easily find all articles from one issue of Total Telecom Magazine by searching within the relevant dates.
The site is not allowing me to submit my press releases, comments or white papers: why? Please check that you have registered with the Total Telecom website, as you cannot access this material or submit your own unless you are a registered user. Click here to register.
If you have registered and you are still unable to submit your content, please email it to info@totaltele.com.
What is the Industry News section? The Industry News is all the latest press releases from across the global communications industry, posted directly by registered Total Telecom users. This means that you will be able to search ALL the industry's releases for the companies, products or issues that you are concerned with, from the smallest companies to the largest. It is also an opportunity for you to post your own press releases, so that you can publicise your news to the other 55,000 registered Total Telecom users.
How do I get the latest news headlines emailed to me daily? Click here to register to get the news headlines emailed directly to you every morning. Select your own preferences, so that you receive only the news relevant to you.
How do I filter the news headlines to just my area of interest? The tabs that run along the top of the site give you options to choose to see only the industry sectors that interest you. Choose between mobility, Internet & IP, business & regulatory, network & services and finance.
What is an RSS feed and how do I use it? Put plainly, it allows you to identify the content you like and have it delivered directly to you. It takes the hassle out of staying up-to-date, by showing you the very latest information that you are interested in.
In general, the first thing you need to make use of an RSS feed is something called a news reader. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications. All allow you to display and subscribe to the RSS feeds you want.
Once you have chosen a news reader, all you have to do is to decide what content you want. For example, if you might like to recieve Today's Latest Stories and you can do this by simply clicking here or on the relevant image section link.
I have signed up for your email newsletter but am not receiving it, what should I do? The email newsletter cleans its database on a regular basis so if your email address will not accept the newsletter email, the request will eventually be cancelled.
This may be due to an error in your registered address. Please login and go to My Account to check and correct if necessary your details.
It may also be due to your firewall or spam filters not allowing the newsletter to be delivered. Please check with your IT department or representative to see if this may be the case, alter the settings and re-activate your newsletter. You can do this by logging in, clicking on My Account and Sign up for the newsletter here, reselect your preferences and submit.

What is a registered user? For much of the free content on the website, you are required to register before you can gain access or contribute. To register you need to provide some basic information, such as job title and email address. This allows us to know what type of people are using our site. We may also use the information to inform you of products and services that we feel may be of interest to you from time to time, but you may opt out of this if you wish.

Can I buy articles or research time without taking out a year's subscription? Yes, click here to see the pay-per-view options for the paid-for content of the Total Telecom website.
How do I renew my subscription? As your subscription nears expiry you should receive several reminders to renew, which will include instructions on how to do this. However, if you cannot find or have not seen any of these reminders, please email totaltele@subscription.co.uk or call the subscription hotline on +44 (0) 1858 438791 with your request to renew, including as much information, such as your full name, company name, address and reference number, as you can.
How do I change my subscription details? To change any of the details, such as a change of address or job title on your account, email info@totaltele.com quoting your username and password and the details that you would like to change.

How can I find out my username and password? If you have forgotten your username or password, please email info@totaltele.com or telephone +44 (0) 207 092 1215.
I subscribed over 48 hours ago but still cannot log on, what should I do? With 48 hours of subscribing to Total Telecom you should receive an email requesting that you activate your account. If you have not received this email or the link did not work, please email info@totaltele.com or call +44 (0) 20 7092 1215. Please also use these contact details if you have any further difficulties with logging on to the website.

Do I need to follow up press releases emailed to editors with a phone call? You do not need to follow your press releases with any further contact to the editorial team. All press releases are read and reviewed for relevance to Total Telecom readers. Your press release will be included in the editorial, either online or in the magazine, if Total Telecom editors feel the readers would find it of enough interest. We will contact you if we need any further details.
