Small cell maker ip.access and CRM specialist Amdocs announced a partnership on Monday that aims to reduce the cost and complexity of deploying enterprise small cells.
The agreement will combine ip.access’ portfolio of indoor small cells, access points and optimisation tools with Amdocs’ range of deployment and orchestration solutions.
"By using each other’s vast range of products and services, and expertise, we will be able to provide customers with an economical enterprise deployment for small cells," said Gavin Ray, senior vice president of product and marketing at ip.access, in a statement.
According to Amdocs, its network rollout solution can cut the time and cost of deployment by as much as 25%.
The agreement will also see ip.access recommend Amdocs to customers that need help with deploying small cells in volume, while Amdocs will recommend ip.access to customers in the market for small cells.
"The agreement with ip.access will not only vastly improve operators’ ability to upgrade their networks with g reater proficiency and speed, but it also seeks to address the industry-wide issue of rolling out small cell solutions to enterprises in greater volume," said Rebecca Prudhomme, vice president for product and solutions marketing at Amdocs.
