DirecTV Now, FreeVIEW, Fullscreen offer combination of popular and original programming on fixed and mobile devices.

AT&T on Tuesday finally shared further details of its long-awaited video streaming services, which will go on sale from tomorrow.

As announced by the U.S. telco back in March, three services are on offer – DirecTV Now, Fullscreen, and FreeVIEW – which together aim to make the most of AT&T’s media assets by appealing to the broadest possible audience.

"We’re extending our entertainment portfolio for those who value premium content but also want more TV freedom suited for their lifestyle, whether watching at home or on their mobile devices. This is TV your way," said John Stankey, CEO, AT&T Entertainment Group, in a statement.

DirecTV Now is the flagship service, offering access to premium sports and entertainment content owned by AT&T’s satellite TV arm DirecTV. Prices range from $35 per month for 60+ channels, to $70 per months for 120+ channels. Customers can access DirecTV Now on iOS or Android smartphones and tablets, as well as Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, and various Web browsers.

Fullscreen actually went on sale earlier this year priced at $5.99 per month. The app-based service is pitched at so-called digital natives, offering them 1,500 hours of ad-free scripted and unscripted original series, TV shows and films licensed from AT&T’s studio partners.

To ramp-up the interest, AT&T on Tuesday offered mobile customers on eligible price plans a year’s free, zero-rated Fullscreen access.

Finally, FreeVIEW is an ad-funded service that – as the name suggests – offers free content. It is accessible via the DirecTV Now app.

"Our new customer-centric offers show that mobility and entertainment are better together," Stankey said.

To add some glitz and glamour to the proceedings, AT&T has partnered with popstar Taylor Swift to offer exclusive content to customers who sign up to one of either DirecTV, DirecTV Now, or U-verse TV.

The telco has also partnered with actress Reese Witherspoon to create a new video-on-demand (VoD) channel. Called Hello Sunshine, the channel will, in its own words: focus on positivity, humour and inspiration for women. It will include an exclusive series starring Witherspoon herself. The channel will launch in 2017.
