IT services provider Getronics on Monday agreed to acquire Colt’s Managed Cloud business, enabling it to provide pan-European cloud services to customers.
Getronics has also established a long-term partnership with Colt that sees Getronics provide cloud services to Colt customers, and Colt provide network and data centre infrastructure, as well as voice services to Getronics.
"Today’s announcement demonstrates our commitment to offering the latest, best of breed IT services to our customers," said Mark Cook, CEO of Getronics, in a statement. "We are looking forward to welcoming the transferring customers and employees into the Getronics family in the new year."
The deal will see Getronics acquire Colt’s cloud technologies and integrate them with its own cloud services platform. It will also take over Colt’s cloud support services spanning 10 countries: Belgium, France, Germany, India, Italy, the Netherlands, Romania, Spain, Switzerland and the U.K.
"This transaction is a positive step for our customers as it provides an expanded set of innovative services and long-term security from an established, growing company," said Colt CEO Rakesh Bhasin.
Financial terms were not disclosed. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and compliance with local employment laws.
