Current and former employees summoned over 1999 defence contract.
Ericsson on Sunday revealed that seven employees are the subject of a corruption investigation in Greece.
The probe relates to a defence deal won in 1999 by Ericsson Microwave Systems, which was sold by the Swedish kit maker in 2006.
In a statement, Ericsson said the employees, some of whom still work for the company, have been summoned by Greece’s prosecutor as part of its preliminary investigation involving allegations of possible corruption.
"The current and former Ericsson employees have not yet been provided with the full relevant documentation from the investigation, and have not yet been questioned by the Greek prosecutor," Ericsson said. "Since an investigation is ongoing, where present and former employees have been served, it is not appropriate for Ericsson to comment further on the substance of this matter."
The company reiterated its zero-tolerance toward corruption and bribery, adding that it works actively to "prevent any kind of corruption within the group, for example through anticorruption training for both employees and suppliers."
The disclosure comes days after Ericsson confirmed it has been questioned by U.S. authorities investigated alleged corrupt practices in China.
