To enhance the quality of service to its partners, Telin launched the control center of infrastructure and service in the Automatic Telephone Central space located in Kalibata district in South Jakarta, named “World Hub Operation & Command Center (WHOCC)”.

This initiative was to replace the previous control center called “Network Operation Center (NOC)” located in Gambir, Central Jakarta. The giant command center was officially inaugurated and operates in July 22, 2016.

 

WHOCC has represented Telin – Indonesia’s giant telco company – as a global company that is ready to take off its vision of The World’s HUB for Telecommunication, Information, Media, Edutainment and Services (TIMES) in the region. Telin WHOCC building size is bigger than the previous NOC building, sizing three times larger. 

 

Telin gives the more optimum service surveillance through Telin WHOCC to supervise across devices and instruments of production owned by Telin, including all Telin Group, consist of Telkom USA and Telin Timor-Leste, just to name a few. Meanwhile, Chief Technology Officer of Telin, Nanang Hendarno explains that the concept of WHOCC started in April 2015. Following through a long procedure in design processing on both aspect of function and eco-smart building, Telin WHOCC began its construction in early 2016 and started to functionally run the operations of network on June 2016.

 

"With the WHOCC start operating, the entire Telin’s operation of infrastructure and service is centralized at Kalibata. On top of that, Telin is dedicating a back-up control that operating in War Room Head Quarter. This is one of Telin’s commitments as proven by the ISO 20000 certification achievement in 2015”, said Hendarno.

Telin WHOCC is seamlessly integrated within Telkom Group operation center in Jakarta, Singapore, Batam, Dumai, and Surabaya. Closely collaborates with Telin’s global partners and Telin parent company Telkom Indonesia, the largest WHOCC provides various services such as, Network Monitoring and Fault Handling, Service Activation Coordinator, Help Desk, and Internet Gateway Operations.

Telin WHOCC also completed with Sapphire War Room, a room functioned as speed and hire escalation, managing troubleshoot and network interference. The ludicrous command center building also completed with a mini laboratory, which prepared to receive disruption warning from three different sides, including surveillance team, Telin internal team and global partner. Consequently, Telin will always give the best service and maintain its service performance flourishingly.

Telin WHOCC has represented Telin as a global company with its vision as The World’s HUB for Telecommunication, Information, Media, Edutainment and Services (TIMES), Telin coverage has been supported by 26 PoPs worldwide, along with existing cables, consisting of the Asia America Gateway (AAG), South-East Asia Japan Cable (SJC), Dumai Malaka Cable System (DMCS), Thailand Indonesia Singapore (TIS), Batam Singapore Cable System (BSCS), South East Asia Middle East Western Europe 5 (SEA ME WE-5), and the Southeast Asia United States (SEA-US). Telin WHOCC serves to embrace the readiness of its mega structure consortium project of submarine cable systems, including SEA ME WE-5 and SEA-US, which these cables will soon be linked with the help of Telin’s own cable called the Indonesia Global Gateway (IGG).
