Snow Software, the global leader in the development of Software Asset Management (SAM) solutions that optimise organisations’ software availability, cost and compliance, today announced the full acquisition of IT Automa tion solutions developer, Igap Technology. The news follows closely behind Snow’s acquisition last week of Mobile Device Management solutions provider, The Institution.
The Igap acquisition is central to Snow’s strategic plan to enhance the adoption and value of SAM programs by embedding the technology into the workflows and processes already established across the organisation.
Axel Kling, CEO of Snow Software, explained: “While we strongly believe that organisations deserve the best SAM technology, we also recognise that the full value of SAM is only realised when all the stakeholders across the enterprise are fully bought-in and enabled to play an active role in the management of software consumption. The acquisition of Igap Technology demonstrates our commitment to complementing our best-in-class SAM and license optimisation technologies with the automated workflows and processes required to embed SAM into the business-as-usual operations of organisations.”
Under the terms of the acquisition, all Igap Technology staff will transfer to appropriate teams within Snow and projects are already underway to capitalise on the new capabilities in the Snow solution portfolio.
Together with the acquisition of The Institution, the addition of the Igap team to Snow brings the SAM solutions vendor to over 250 staff globally, operating from 15 regional locations.
