Telco lays claim to U.K.’s cheapest 4G tariff for existing corporate customers.

TalkTalk Business on Friday laid claim to the U.K.’s cheapest 4G tariff with a new range of SIM-only price plans.

Prices start at £8 (€10.28) per month for unlimited calls and texts, and 1 GB of data on a 12-month contract. An 8 GB data allowance is also on offer, for £14 per month.

"We understand the complex pressures that face today’s businesses as they look to manage costs and improve profitability. We also know how important connectivity is to them, not only to provide a faultless service to valued customers, but to support the business’ next chapter as it looks to prosper in a digital-first world," said Duncan Gooding, director of enterprise at TalkTalk Business, in a statement.

It is worth noting though the offer is exclusive to existing TalkTalk Business customers. The telco’s consumer mobile customers are still limited to 3G services.

TalkTalk operates MVNO services on O2’s network, having switched from Vodafone in 2014.

Unlike its Vodafone deal, TalkTalk’s wholesale deal with O2 is a full MVNO deal, giving TalkTalk control over certain core network elements, and by extension greater control over the customer experience.
