TDC on Friday named company insider Pernille Erenbjerg as its new chief executive, effective immediately.
Erenbjerg has been with the Danish incumbent since 2003, serving in various finance roles before becoming chief financial officer in 2011. She added the deputy CEO position to her duties in January this year. Prior to joining TDC, Erenbjerg worked for Deloitte and Arthur Andersen.
She replaces Carsten Dilling, who served as TDC’s CEO for three years, having joined the company as chief operating officer in mid-2007.
Dilling is retiring as CEO of TDC and as chairman of a number of its subsidiaries, by mutual agreement with the board, the telco said. He is 53 years old.
He will stay with TDC "for the coming months" to act as an advisor to Erenbjerg, TDC said.
Erenbjerg will take over as chair of TDC in Sweden and GET in Norway. She will also continue to serv e as TDC’s group CFO until a replacement is found.
