Telco’s prepaid arm to adopt CBB brand; new name comes into effect on 22 February.

Telenor Denmark announced on Thursday that its prepaid arm Bibob will adopt the same brand as its CBB Mobil operation.

The new name will come into effect on 22 February. Bibob customers will receive an email explaining the change; they will be able to keep their current service plan and SIM card, Telenor said. They will also be able to access CBB’s online portal using their current user name and password.

"We are on a strategic journey to simplify the whole of Telenor to make it as simple as possible for customers to trade with us and as simple as possible for ourselves to do business," said Jesper Hansen, CEO of Telenor Denmark, in a local-language statement.

Going forward, Hansen said Telenor Denmark will focus on strengthening its two main brands: Telenor and CBB.

Both CBB and Bibob share the same customer service and IT platforms and both use Telenor’s mobile network.

"Customers can therefore look forward to the same excellent customer experience at CBB," Telenor said.
