Telin Singapore is set to make a new benchmark in Singapore’s data centre sector when it opens its third and largest data centre on November 22, 2016. Branded Telin-3, this future-ready premium data centre is Singapore’s first and only data centre to receive Uptime Institute’s Tier-IV design certification, enabling it to meet the most stringent risks, safety and data security guidelines required by financial institutions, governments and other industry verticals.

Located at Singapore Data Centre Park (DCP) in western part of Singapore, Telin-3 incorporates a modular multi-tier design. This feature provides flexibility and modularity to customers, enabling them to select from a variety of tier ratings based on their business requirements, all within the same building.  It offers a 24/7 operation centre and an innovation centre to guarantee the future-proofing of the facility.

Telin-3 is also the first software-defined data centre in Asia Pacific that is built with VMWare Validated Designs. Implementing VMware technologies has given Telin Singapore the capability to deliver holistic data centre designs that span across compute, storage, networking and management. This allows Telin Singapore to respond faster to market changes and needs.

In addition, this 5-storey, 20,000-sqm facility is a carrier neutral, which allows customers to switch providers without physically moving the servers to another location.

All these have strengthened Telin Singapore’s position as a one-stop shop for enterprises looking for data centre services, complete with carrier-neutral connectivity that allows the use of multiple carriers for network redundancy.

This means that Telin Singapore will also be able to extend their premium data centre and cloud services to global businesses looking to expand in Asia using Singapore as a springboard and contributing to the country’s status as a leading economic hub. As such, large enterprise customers such as telcos and financial institutions with expansion plans in mind will find a strategic choice option in Telin-3.

“Telin-3 is developed to address the growing demand for premium data centre services in support of Singapore’s Smart Nation vision, and better enable our customers from both regional and global markets. As such, we wanted to build a data centre that is not only future-ready, but one that can also offer our customers the highest levels of flexibility and agility,” said Freddi Huang, Head of Engineering and Operations, Telin Singapore.

In addition, Telin Singapore delivers trustworthy connectivity solutions by tapping on PT Telkom’s vast infrastructure strategically located around the globe. Telin Singapore’s domestic network includes a self-healing ring network between Telin data centres to key main data centres in Singapore.

Telin Singapore’s coverage has been further supported by Points of Presence (PoPs) that extends to more than 100 countries around the world, together with international and regional submarine cable networks.

Setting a new benchmark for future-ready data centres in Singapore, Telin Singapore is well positioned to provide customers with comprehensive, fast, secured and reliable network connectivity to major economies of the world.
