Cindy Rose to leave in April after Vodafone Greece chief is appointed commercial director.

Vodafone UK confirmed this week that its consumer director Cindy Rose has resigned after just two-and-a-half years in the job.

Her responsibilities will pass to Vodafone Greece CEO Glafkos Persianis, who has been named commercial director. The newly-created role puts him in charge of the telco’s consumer division and commercial operations division.

"This move is another step towards Vodafone giving customers a seamless and consistent service wherever and whenever they interact with us," said a Vodafone spokesman, in a statement sent to Total Telecom.

Rose will leave Vodafone in April following a handover period.

Rose joined Vodafone in September 2013 from Virgin Media, where she served as executive director of digital entertainment.

During her time at Virgin, Rose oversaw the rollout of the cableco’s TiVo and Virgin TV Anywhere services.

During her tenure at Vodafone, Rose managed the deployment of the company’s fixed broadband service, Vodafone Connect.

"We’re sorry to see Cindy go as she’s contributed very significantly to the business over the past two-and-a-half years," said Jeroen Hoencamp, CEO of Vodafone UK. "We wish he all the very best in her next role."
