Since 1999 the World Communication Awards have recognised the best in telecoms and thousands of successful winners have lifted the famous trophy in-front of their peers. This year we are seeking to raise the bar still further and offer all those who make the shortlist the recognition they deserve.
The World Communication Awards are like every aspect of our business lives. We compose the best submission that we can, we support it with evidence and we submit it, and in every case there is a winner, and there are companies that don’t win. It doesn’t mean that those that don’t win didn’t do well and it doesn’t mean that they are not worthy of recognition – and this is what we now want to address.
For 2015 we have once again revised the categories for the World Communication Awards and will recognise winners in 18 key areas, which means around 100 entries are worthy of recognition, but don’t all take the crown. So this year we intend to offer greater value to every company that makes the shortlist, giving you even more reason to participate. Here’s how it looks:
-
SHORTLIST – the shortlist will be announced in September, and getting this far is an outstanding achievement. We will supply all the finalists with a WCA finalist logo and would encourage that you use this in your marketing, including submitting a press release to Total Telecom: http://www.totaltele.com/postpaper.aspx?T=2
-
KNOWLEDGE NETWORK – new this year, we will invite every shortlisted company to submit a Knowledge Network article (one per company) for hosting free of charge on Total Telecom. This is a viewpoint from your organisation where you can talk about your specific area of expertise in up to 600 words. Each article will be acknowledged as being provided by an outstanding WCA finalist. See some of the current Knowledge Networks at http://www.totaltele.com/viewpoints
-
CONFERENCE – developing the concept launched last year, we will invite all shortlisted companies to participate in the Total Telecom Festival conference. The logic is simple, the World Communication Awards recognise the best companies in the industry, the conference, during the day ahead of the awards will bring together the cream of the industry to discuss the Business of Telecoms in an interactive manner.
-
AWARDS – the gala dinner remains the highlight of the awards programme, and rightly recognises the winners in each category, but also celebrates the success of everyone that makes the shortlist. Win or not, this is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate excellence in the industry, to network with peers, to entertain clients and prospects, and to enjoy yourselves. New for this year we move out of the standard hotel setting with the 2015 World Communication Awards being revealed at the iconic Wembley Stadium.
The World Communication Awards gala night are the highlight of the annual awards programme and the central element of the 2 day Total Telecom Festival. This year the Festival encompasses four distinct elements to make it unmissable:
-
Conference Day 1 – how carriers and service providers can capitalise on the IoT opportunity
-
Followed late afternoon by the second annual IoTA’s – the Internet of Things Awards
-
Conference Day 2 – the business of telecoms
-
Followed by the World Communication Awards
