Ofcom are clearing out fixed wireless access industry in the UK in order to auction spectrum for 5G claimed Cambium Networks CTO, Nigel King at the recent Connected Britain conference.
The result will have a negative impact for 90% of the population as wireless internet service providers (WISPs) need access to licensed spectrum to enable them to offer high speed broadband solutions, especially for rural populations.
However, Nigel suggests that there is a solution that can bring the high speed connectivity to all.
Tom Snee conducted the interview from the Cambium stand in the INCA (Independent Networks Cooperative Association) networking area at this years show.
