Bamboo Distribution, an international leader in the recovery, refurbishment, resale and recycling of mobile phones, has added industry specialist Gail Williams to its management team. Williams joins as Head of Business Development and will be responsible for growing Bamboo Distribution’s global client base and partner community, commercialising new services and strengthening its purchasing processes.
Williams has more than 20 years’ experience in the mobile industry across insurance, distribution, repair, fulfilment and purchasing. Williams joins from Encore Repair Services LLC, where she has spent over three years as its Business Development Director.
Prior to that, Williams was European Business Development Director, at Mazuma Mobile. Last year, Bamboo Distribution welcomed another ex-Mazuma Mobile executive – John Lam, its co-founder – to the management team as Head of Global Buyback.
Williams has extensive experience in business development and senior purchasing roles.
Her career started in the insurance sector with CPP Group PLC as Head of Purchasing; eight years prior, at Sony Computer Entertainment as the company’s Europe Purchasing Manager. Her experience gained from roles at Eco Asia, Mazuma and then Encore will help Bamboo expand its services on a global scale.
