Press Release
Nexign, a leading business support system (BSS) provider for communications service providers (CSPs), announced today that GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company, has rated it “very strong” in the global BSS market. GlobalData issued its report just three months after Turkcell, the largest mobile operator in Turkey, named Nexign its exclusive international partner in March 2018.
“This rating affirms our strategic decision to become a global BSS provider,” said Igor Gorkov, CEO of Nexign. “We have been the BSS leader in Russia for 26 years, and we have completed more than 120 projects in 14 countries. We are now actively expanding our reach and expertise to international CSPs seeking to maximize their revenue streams in the digital era.”
GlobalData’s report describes Nexign’s Digital BSS as a driver for digital transformation among CSPs. It also touts Nexign’s best-in-class focus on revenue-stream diversification, analytics-based decisions, business-model agility and optimal price performance.
The report cites several advantages of Nexign’s Digital BSS, such as fulfilling mission-critical digital monetisation demands from CSPs, including a unified digital experience framework, omnichannel sales and care, partner enablement and unified monitoring. GlobalData also highlights the inclusion of a virtualised online charging subsystem, 5G monetisation readiness, dynamic policy support, congestion management functionality, e-commerce/e-banking integration, IoT assimilation and dual-speed architecture support to ease legacy-to-cloud transitions.
“CSPs are accelerating adoption of cloud-based billing systems to inject agility into their procedures and presentations, lower upfront costs and automate BSS processes,” said Ron Westfall, GlobalData’s research director for telecom technology and software (and the author of the report). “Nexign’s Digital BSS platform addresses key industry themes such as IoT, 5G, MFS, Blockchain, importance of partnership ecosystems and delivers the cloud-native billing capabilities operators require to reduce reliance on inflexible subscription models and legacy manual billing processes, providing more flexible service package choices, real-time digital interactions and continuous billing capabilities.”
GlobalData’s report also addressed Nexign’s future: “As a unit of USM Holdings, Nexign has the corporate resources required to build out its global expansion strategy by expanding its regional channels and 1,600+ headcount to establish and grow its presence in the Africa, Middle East, and South Asian markets in 2018. Nexign employs a three-tier partnership structure—strategic, alliance and affiliate—critical to attacking new markets and meeting country-specific legal and regulatory requirements.”
Given Nexign’s vast experience in providing business-driven innovation, the report concludes with the following: “The combination of Nexign’s Digital BSS platform capabilities, experience in DevOps and CI/CD-based delivery to Tier 1 clients such as MegaFon and Rostelecom, and its growing global services capabilities have resulted in an overall rating of “very strong.”
