Jasper and IBM announced on Tuesday they will combine their Internet of Things (IoT) capabilities in a bid to provide a more compelling suite of services to enterprises.

The agreement will see Jasper’s Control Center service platform, which enables companies to launch and monetise IoT new services, integrate with IBM Foundation, which helps companies to develop IoT applications, and collect and analyse the data generated by connected devices.

"Thousands of enterprises around the world rely on Jasper to deliver their IoT services. Many of those already utilise, or plan to utilise IBM for their IoT application development and analytics," said Macario Namie, vice president of strategy at Jasper, in a statement.

"This collaboration unites the capabilities of these powerful IoT solutions, giving enterprises a one-stop shop for the development and delivery of IoT services globally. As a result, enterprises can more quickly and cost-effectively provide their customers with IoT services that enhance the user experience and create new revenue streams," he said.

Tuesday’s deal is the fourth partnership Jasper has struck with a major IT services provider this year.

In March it partnered with SAP and Salesforce, deals it said are also aimed at reducing the cost and time to deploy new IoT services for enterprises. In July it announced a similar agreement with Microsoft.
