U.K. telco says decision reflects strategy of becoming a closely-integrated business.

Kcom on Wednesday announced it is unifying all of its business units under one brand as it continues its strategy of becoming an integrated services provider.

The Hull-headquartered U.K. telco group offers various enterprise and SME services via its Eclipse, Kcom, Smart421 and KC units. KC is also the brand used for its consumer operations.

From 4 April, all customers will be served by the re-vamped Kcom brand.

"Bringing together all our capability and expertise under a single brand will give all our customers visibility of and access to our full range of services and enable us to respond to their needs in a more agile and flexible way," said Kcom CEO Bill Halbert.

Kcom said the rebranding is part of a transformation programme that included the £90 million (€118 million) sale of its national network (excluding its asserts in Hull and East Yorkshire) to CityFibre in December.

"For our Hull and East Yorkshire customers, our transformation gives us the capacity to accelerate our deployment of ultrafast fibre broadband and create a future-proof platform that has the capacity to satisfy the demands of homes and business as they evolve," Halbert said. "The changes we are making will help us to deliver greater value to all stakeholders and position us well for further growth."
