Press Release

Digitalk announced today that Roshan, Afghanistan’s leading communications provider, has completed a new investment in Carrier Cloud, establishing local presence in Singapore.

Roshan, which first adopted Carrier Cloud in 2018 to provide connectivity for international traffic, has seen business volumes surge, as well as building a strong network of carrier relationships.

As a result, local presence in Digitalk’s Singapore data centres is a natural evolution step from the original European base, providing new opportunities to reach high-quality routes and forge new partnerships, backed by true regional peering.

“Digitalk Carrier Cloud has been key to Roshan’s growth plans for our international business, enabling us to increase our traffic volume and reach,” commented Altaf Ladak, Deputy CEO of Roshan. “We look forward to extending this partnership as we continue to scale our international operations.”

Digitalk Carrier Cloud offers unlimited, elastic scale, with Tier 1 points of presence in London, Singapore and Miami, backed by class-leading service availability. As such, it provides a clear, reliable pathway for carriers that seek to grow their business.

“Roshan’s growth since 2018 has been exceptional. We’re proud that Carrier Cloud has been instrumental in this success, enabling Roshan to build market share,” added Neil French, CTO of Digitalk. “Our ongoing investments in Carrier Cloud will ensure that Roshan can continue to expand its international business.”

Carrier Cloud, a complete Wholesale Platform as a Service Solution, provides rich automation tools to help boost operational performance, while enabling profit optimisation for international traffic. Backed by integrated business intelligence capabilities, this provides an agile edge, helping carriers to thrive in competitive markets.
