Press Release
MLL Telecom, a leading provider of secure managed network services for the UK public sector, today announced that it has appointed Shaun Ledgerwood as its new CEO. Shaun will pick up the mantle from outgoing CEO, Gary Marven, who is retiring after ten years’ service but will remain a director of the business.
Shaun has worked in the telecoms sector for 20 years, growing a variety of technology businesses across the UK, Europe, Asia and North America, most recently as CEO of a London-based IT managed services provider. During this time, he has championed many transformational technologies including fibre optical transmission, the move to IP, wireless services, integrated collaboration platforms and the growth of public cloud infrastructure. Shaun, together with the MLL Telecom leadership team, will work to build on the powerful momentum the business has created in becoming a dependable and valued technology supplier to public and private sector organisations.
“I’m delighted to be taking over at MLL Telecom,” said Shaun Ledgerwood, CEO at MLL Telecom. “Under Gary’s leadership, the business has pivoted from its microwave technology roots, to become a highly respected, specialised and valued partner for both public sector organisations and mobile operators. MLL Telecom can be extremely proud of the leadership position it has built in fibre connectivity. The business will continue to invest in product and service innovation to add further value to new and existing customers.”
During his career Shaun has worked for Cable & Wireless, KPNQwest, Sprint, NextiraOne and most recently Niu Solutions as CEO. He has experience delivering services across the entire IT estate, including voice, video, data network services, IT infrastructure, security services and end-user IT support. He therefore has first-hand experience of the critical nature of the underlying network to delivering IT services and how growth of the IT estate is driving expansion of the network infrastructure.
