Orange on Wednesday named two new CEO delegates to strengthen its governance and to reflect the diversity of its operations.
The French telecoms operator conferred the chief executive officer delegate title on two deputy CEOs: Ramon Fernandez and Pierre Louette. The move gives it three CEO delegates, the third being Gervais Pellissier, the telco’s deputy CEO in charge of its European operations.
"These appointments, which are aligned with practices implemented by other major international groups, will strengthen the group’s governance, enabling it to better reflect the diversity of its activities and its challenges," Orange said, in a statement.
It added that the two new CEO delegates will continue in their previous roles in addition to their new mandates.
Fernandez is Orange’s deputy CEO in charge of group finance and strategy, while Louette is deputy CEO in charge of the general secretariat, Orange Wholesale France, group sourcing and supply chain, the Chrysalid operational efficiency programme and of relations between Orange and group content stakeholders.
