Press Release
Stormshield, a leader in the European cybersecurity market, has updated its data protection solution for mobile devices and the cloud with version 2.0 of its Stormshield Data Security for Cloud & Mobility.
The Stormshield Data Security for Cloud & Mobility (SDS for C&M) solution allows users to take full advantage of the cloud in a simple and secure manner. SDS for C&M can be used across multiple platforms, different types of device (PCs, servers & smartphones) and with different media (SaaS applications, file servers, email, USB keys, etc.), making it easier to encrypt, share and access all types of sensitive data in the cloud.
New version compatible with Mac OS
Previously only available for Windows, SDS for C&M 2.0 now supports Mac OS to enable secure collaboration and the exchange of confidential information in Apple environments.
More independent end users
SDS for C&M 2.0 automatically detects and encrypts the data transmitted via the main cloud storage solutions (One Drive for business, personal and business versions of Dropbox, and SharePoint). Encryption is thus completely transparent to the user because data that is copied, pasted, saved or dragged & dropped is automatically encrypted. The security policy is therefore strengthened, while giving the user more freedom. Users can continue to designate the people they want to share documents with and remove the protection of encrypted documents if they have editing rights.
Centralised security policy
SDS for C&M 2.0 also allows for centralised administration of security policies from a single server. For example, administrators can now manage all devices and get a single, comprehensive overview of the solutions used by each user: who shared what document, from which device, and from what location?
Finally, this new version includes key features such as server enrolment, centralised event logs, enhanced user experience, and more.
