Press Release

SureCloud, a supplier of Cloud-based Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) solutions and Cybersecurity services, is expanding into the U.S. market with the opening of a new office, and has made two key appointments to strengthen its management team and support recent growth.

Its new U.S. headquarters will enable SureCloud to service the demand for its GRC solutions as businesses based in North America prepare for the introduction of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). To head up the U.S. operation, the company has appointed industry veteran Terrence Blake as Chief Marketing Officer and EVP of North America.

Blake brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously worked at Infor, Lawson Software, eFunds and Deluxe Corporation, where he served in various executive and management positions. He also manages his own communications consultancy, and has worked as a university instructor on strategic communication. He will be responsible for raising SureCloud’s profile in the U.S. and directing its marketing initiatives internationally.

SureCloud has also appointed Mike Henderson as Senior Account Executive for North America, responsible for business development and customer management. He previously worked for Unit4, Sopheon, Infor and Lawson Software in a range of account management/executive roles, building strong and long-lasting customer relationships.

The expansion in the U.S. market follows a highly successful year for SureCloud, in which the company won multiple new contracts with customers across a range of market sectors, and achieved a 90% renewal rate. Its clients include Call Credit, the provider of intelligent marketing and credit solutions, and the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). A multinational electrical and telecommunications retailer and one of Europe’s largest foreign exchange companies have also both recently adopted the SureCloud platform and are using key applications to strengthen their risk and compliance business processes.

Nick Rafferty, SureCloud COO, said: “A risk-based approach to security is essential for organizations today to help them respond to evolving threats, and changing business and regulatory requirements. But managing risk and compliance postures across the business is challenging with manual processes. Using the automation capabilities of the SureCloud Platform significantly accelerates critical risk assessment and management activities.

“With so many U.S. businesses selling into the European market, there is growing interest in GDPR compliance solutions, making this an ideal time for us to introduce our innovative portfolio to the U.S. market. I am very pleased to welcome Terry and Mike to SureCloud: their experience will be pivotal in driving growth in North America and promoting the strategic business value that SureCloud’s solutions deliver.”

The London-headquartered company delivers a range of expert security, governance, risk and compliance consultancy services, to customers across numerous sectors including retail, professional services, education and local government. This is underpinned by its unique cloud-based solution that delivers a range of applications from a unified access point. The platform’s applications enable organizations to automate challenging business processes using intelligent forms; integrate workflows and task management capabilities to support team collaboration; and group structures that not only enable access control but also support business reporting needs.

The new office is based in St Paul, Minnesota.
