Press Release

Leading MVNA (Mobile Virtual Network Aggregator) x-Mobility (www.x-mobility.com) has agreed a partnership with TVPlayer (https://tvplayer.com), the home of live TV. The deal means that x-Mobility has added TV streaming to its voice, text and data services for brands that wish to become mobile providers.

TV streaming is a hugely valuable addition to the x-Mobility portfolio of services. With access to this, any current or future MVNO is able to offer its customers live, catchup or on demand TV broadcast by the most popular channels in the world.

TVPlayer enables viewers to watch the best free-to-air UK TV channels including BBC One, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and Dave. It is available on desktop and a free downloadable app on iOS and Android smartphones and tablets, Amazon Fire, XBOX, Roku, Windows 10 and Apple TV. TVPlayer’s 100 plus channels are now available for any brand to offer to its customers via x-Mobility’s aggregator services.

“We are seeing increasing demand for the bundling of TV with mobile services,” said Frank Bow, Chief Commercial Officer of TVPlayer. “By partnering with x-Mobility, more consumers in the UK will be able to watch live TV across a variety of mobile devices.”

As more brands choose to become mobile service providers, differentiation will be increasingly important. X-Mobility already has an impressive array of services. Its SIM and app can be combined to provide a bespoke offer that can, for example, include multiple phone numbers and the delivery of targeted messages and offers to users, all wrapped up in bespoke branding.

“First and foremost x-Mobility is a mobile enabler for brands. We don’t just stop at traditional voice, text and data services,” said Shanks Kulam, Co-Founder and CMO of x-Mobility. “TV streaming was always the obvious next step, and now it is in the mix, we can help brands make their bespoke communications services more compelling than ever.”

The addition of TV streaming adds a valuable new feature for brands looking to make their particular offer stand out and to tailor it specifically to their own customers.
