ZTE Corporation, a global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions and Quantenna Communications, Inc., a leading provider of high performance Wi-Fi solutions, today announced a new high end Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) product that integrates Quantenna’s award-winning 4×4 802.11ac Wave 2 QSR1000 chipset. This new gateway is targeted at service providers worldwide.
As fiber network speeds continue to increase, gateways have to keep on evolving in order to support the latest generation of GPON as well as state of the art Wi-Fi for a whole home coverage. The new product line offers greater bandwidth to meet full-service access and multi-scenario requirements, and provides carrier-class quality of service. ZTE is the leading Chinese telecom equipment maker and provides its products and solutions to operators across 160 countries.
