At MWC19, Weibin Wang, the CTO of NFV/SDN Products at ZTE, sat down with Total Telecom to discuss the big challenges for the virtualised network.
In a wide ranging interview he covered the challenges for the virtualised network, including multi-vendor integration, automated maintenance, and carrier grade devops, as well as the need for new technologies.
He then went on to discuss whether 5G would mean even higher levels of network virtualisation and the importance of network slicing and cloudification, before going on to discuss the major achievements of ZTE in the sector.
Weibin Wang explained that ZTE had delivered the first full virtualisation of mobile core network and were demonstrating their leadership by winning awards and contracts.
