Total Telecom TV recently spoke with Steve Collins, CTO of NetComm Wireless at the 2017 Gigabit Access conference. Steve explained how NetComm Wireless are specialising in connectivity for the last 10-20%, for example rural areas that tend to get left behind by the big infrastructure players. Steve also explained how NetComm Wireless are focussed on extending the edge of the network closer to the end premises. To do this, it’s time to change the current mindset and consider CPE on the side of customers building as an extenstion of the network all the way through to the end user. By doing so, operators can offer a very differentiated service to the end user.
