Press Release

Full Fibre, a telecommunications company based in the south west of England, has picked DZS KEYMILE’s GPON and XGS-PON technologies for its new opti-cal fibre network. The network operator is targeting business parks and the surrounding residential areas and will provide homes and businesses with bandwidths of one gigabit per second.
Full Fibre has chosen DZS KEYMILE’s GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network) and XGS-PON (10-Gigabit-capable Passive Optical Network) solutions to facilitate the active layer of their new FTTX network builds. DZS KEYMILE is a subsidiary of DASAN Zhone Solutions (DZS), a world-wide leader in the provision of network access solutions.

Full Fibre is currently using DZS KEYMILE’s modular V8106 OLT platform in a beta environment and a pilot project is underway now. This highly flexible OLT platform enables network operators to offer both GPON and XGS-PON from the same sub-rack and therefore provide tailored solutions at a local network level.

Full Fibre’s target groups are homes and businesses via a wholesale offering, giving customers a choice of a number of regional and local ISPs.

“We chose DZS KEYMILE because they have an extensive and powerful product portfolio and can give exceptional support in identifying and creating customised solutions. Their UK presence and direct relationships with customers mean the procurement process is transparent and support ex-tensive,” explains Oliver Helm, CEO of Full Fibre. “What’s more, the company’s impressive track record and business relationships with many other network operators mean we’re confident that DZS KEYMILE’s products and roadmap will support our requirements well into the future.”
