Press Release

Global Telco Consult (GTC), a business messaging consultancy specialist, and VSC, a mergers and acquisition (M&A) advisory, today announce a definitive merger & partner agreement. This will expand GTC’s service portfolio to include a dedicated M&A consultancy service, meeting growing customer demands as the market undergoes a period of consolidation.

Over the past 10 years, VSC, based in Como, Italy, has worked with the world’s biggest telecoms players to develop corporate strategies to help them navigate the changing market landscape, playing a part in some of the industry’s biggest deals.

VSC will now form a specialist division of GTC as customers increasingly turn to the organisation for senior-level advisory to guide them through the complexity of establishing a considered growth strategy. GTC is an established provider of consultancy and managed services, with a focus on the rising messaging and CPaaS industry serving major customers including Mobile Network Groups like Vodafone or MTN, Telecom Service Providers like IDT and iBASIS and enterprise brands like Yotpo. Although, GTC already acts as a trusted advisor for its clients’ growth strategies, the merger will add services including merger management and divestiture consultancy, significantly increasing GTC’s footprint in the sector as it bolsters the scope of objective and independent support it offers.

As part of the move, VSC’s CEO Erik van Stokkom will move into the Chief Commercial Officer role at GTC, bringing with him 25 years of industry experience in senior roles at major telecoms companies worldwide. He commented, “GTC has an already strong foothold in the telecoms advisory space and this partnership will serve to enhance this and significantly increase its market share. Not only this, but by M&A consultancy forming part of a full suite of telecoms advisory services, GTC becomes a single stop for clients seeking industry-leading guidance when it comes to growth strategies.”

The merger of GTC and VSC will operate under the name of GTC and José García, Founder and CEO of GTC added, “We strongly feel that joining forces with VSC will allow us to realize our strategic goals and address the needs of our customer base over the next years. It is also exciting for the company to bring Erik’s expertise in-house as CCO and we look forward to seeing both our own organisation and our clients thrive following the merger.”
