Press Release

The fiber management systems needed for a future-ready data center which is capable of rapidly evolving alongside today’s network infrastructures will be among the innovative solutions HUBER+SUHNER will take to Cisco Live 2019.

At a time when it has never been more important for data centers to be reliable, secure and simple to use, HUBER+SUHNER will highlight its LISA Double Access, a unique and effective high-density and modular cross-connect fiber management system that offers customers a clear demarcation point and a 60” rack that reduces floor space requirements by 17 percent.

As the perfect system for the future-ready data center, operators can manage the LISA Double Access with complete ease and maximum efficiency due to its ability to organise cabling in a clear and simplistic way that significantly reduces the potential for damage to delicate fibers. The system enables high-density applications for up to 2 x 100 LISA cassettes, which corresponds to a maximum density of 7200 fibers per rack.

“Customers may need to move, add or change cables in a data center, which increases the risk of damage and downtime, which is incredibly costly for operators,” said Tony Walker, Business Development Manager at HUBER+SUHNER. “We offer a go-to system that makes the management and running of a data center as easy and secure as possible, while still exceeding the requirements of the operator and allowing valuable rack space to be used wisely. We are looking forward to showcasing the LISA Double Access system to attendees at Cisco Live.”

The LISA Double Access system is available with state-of-the-art connectivity, including the MTP technology and the world’s first patented push-pull LC connector.

Also on display at Cisco Live will be the second generation IANOS® fiber management system, which facilitates ultra-fast connectivity in the data center. The IANOS® system offers operators a core building block for a data center, that can be tailored with a pay-as-you-grow-approach.

“As the demands on data centers grow, operators need to select fiber management systems that can accommodate and handle these changes with ease while also saving money, time and keeping disruption to a minimum,” explained Walker. “That is exactly what the IANOS® system offers. The system integration allows for a quick and easy deployment as well as keeping the fibers in an organised and sophisticated way.”

Deploying IANOS® reduces the time required for MACs and significantly decreases operational costs, leading to a more efficient and money-saving life cycle.

“HUBER+SUHNER has truly developed itself as a leader of data center technology and we are very much looking forward to highlighting our innovative systems at Cisco Live and showing off the benefits that operators using our systems can expect.”
