Polish company IS-Wireless announced having a fully operational and ready to implement, very own technology allowing to build 5G networks in an open model. After successful closed-doors demonstrations, the start-up will officially showcase the capabilities of their original solution for the very first time during the world’s largest telecommunications industry event.

The presentation will take place during the Mobile World Congress (MWC21) trade show in Barcelona. One of the event’s themes is connectivity – particularly 5G deployment, growth of Open RAN model, enterprise, and private networks, and 6G planning. As experts in the field, representatives of IS-Wireless, a Polish provider of network solutions, engaged in global cooperation for developing Open Ran networks, will make an appearance in Barcelona. That is where the company will present its original 5G deployment solution to the mobile industry and viewers all over the world.

Polish 5G in plain view for the first time
– We can proudly announce that our solution is fully ready. For the very first time, we will present our product abroad. The event will serve as its world premiere – says CEO of IS-Wireless Slawomir Pietrzyk. He highlights that according to his company’s fundamental idea, partners are essential to build 5G in an open model. – We also want to exhibit that we are open for cooperation in implementing our solutions – adds Slawomir Pietrzyk.

During the trade show in Barcelona, IS-Wireless will showcase a complete 5G solution as well as its integration with Canonical’s products. For those unable to make it to Spain in person, the company has prepared a virtual demonstration in cooperation with O-RAN Alliance. The demo will consist of an online presentation of the Open RAN 5G system. O-RAN Alliance is an organisation established by global leaders, including AT&T, China Mobile, Deutsche Telekom, NTT DOCOMO and Orange, working for leading the RAN industry towards open and virtualised mobile networks.

The premiere taking place in Barcelona is an introduction to implementing the Polish solution all over the world, as announced by IS-Wireless. The company set a strategic goal of claiming as much as 5% of the global Open RAN market over the next three years. Last month, it has also initiated an international #5GMadeTogether project, aiming to cooperate for global deployment of 5G network in an open model.

Trade shows coming back after the height of the pandemic
This year’s edition of Barcelona’s trade show, which will last from 28th June to 1st July, is held under a slogan of „Back to business, Back to Barcelona, Back together”. Speakers feature CEO of Tesla Elon Musk and CEO of Orange Stéphane Richard, amongst others. The event back in 2019 attracted nearly 100 thousand attendees and 2,4 thousand exhibitors – leading technological companies. MWC21 is hosted by the Mobile World Capital Barcelona initiative. The demonstration of the Polish company will be held in hall 2.1 at stand 2.1C19Ex.
