Mobile Ecosystem Forum, has announced the results of its Global, EMEA and LatAm board elections for the 2017/2019 term following its AGM in Barcelona at Mobile World Congress last week.

19 executives representing the diversity of the global mobile ecosystem from mobile operators to companies at the forefront of mobile payments, messaging, personal data and content were elected to take forward MEF’s mandate.

Andrew Bud, CEO and founder of iProov and James Lasbrey, Global Business Leader, Wholesale SMS at Telefónica were re-elected as Global Chair and Vice-Chair respectively. Darren Foulds Managing Director, Mobile Payments at Barclays and Adia Sowho, Director, Digital Business at Etisalat Nigeria were re-elected as Chair and Vice-Chair of MEF’s EMEA chapter.

The new boards will champion MEF’s remit to advance cross-sector collaboration to accelerate growth of a sustainable mobile ecosystem that drives inclusion and trusted services for consumers. Specifically, the Directors will engage with the vertical sectors and emerging technologies that are leveraging the mobile platform. Building blocks for growth include MEF’s key initiatives around Consumer Trust, Enterprise Messaging and Growth Markets.
