Press Release

NFON UK, an entity of NFON AG, Europe’s leading cloud telephony provider, is pleased to confirm that Myles Leach has taken over as the new Managing Director. Myles has been working at NFON UK for over two years alongside Rami Houbby, who has set up and led the business to date with aplomb.

Myles has steadily risen up the ranks at NFON UK, going from UK Business Development Director to Strategic Channel Development Director. Myles is a telecoms veteran and has an excellent pedigree in running successful telecoms businesses – prior to joining NFON UK, he spent nine years as Managing Director of a successful telecommunications reseller.

The demand and adoption of Cloud Telephony in the UK is huge. The cloud changed the world of data and the same is now happening with voice. The cloud makes it possible to streamline delivery of data and voice and crucially enable businesses to have what they really want – one supplier for their voice and data.

Hans Szymanski, Chief Executive Officer, NFON AG, comments: “Since Rami Houbby opened the NFON UK subsidiary in April 2013 the UK market has gone from strength to strength – the business has thrived and we have become established as the country’s leading Cloud Telephony player.” The UK’s success is a vital contribution to the overall strength of NFON in Europe. In 2016, the number of companies across Europe who rely in NFON has risen to almost 15,000 while a dynamic year-on-year growth in sales of 44 percent was generated. “Due to Rami’s efforts and leadership over the last four years at NFON UK, the company is now in a fantastic position for growth under the leadership of Myles.”

Illuma Research has stated that the cloud telephony segment is increasing by 50% to 100% year on year. Hans Szymanski adds: “NFON UK is in a strong position in a growing market that is only set to scale due to the quality of our product, staff and partner network. NFON UK is already set to have its best year ever in 2017, with Myles at the helm we are confident it will continue to go on to break even more records! We would like to thank Rami who has done a sterling job starting and leading the UK to date. We wish him all the very best in his new venture.”
