Press Release

The UK delivery sector is set to be revolutionised with the launch of an app and web-based service, SoonAs.

Customers can now easily organise the transport or delivery of almost any item with an easy-to-use web and app-based service that quickly connects users to available drivers in their area.

SoonAs is designed to smoothly connect customers with available drivers to complete on-demand deliveries. All users need to do is visit the website or download the app, enter a brief item description, date and postcode of delivery.

By entering a brief item description, and date and postcode of delivery, customers have flexible booking options and will receive bids from available drivers, with the ability to choose the driver based on the best bid, convenience of delivery or driver rating.

Drivers are connected to users and available jobs through a specific SoonAs driver app – allowing them to view live jobs in their area, enter price bids and manage their work.

Once connected, users can track their driver’s progress via the app and communicate with them on the move. A transparent five-star driver review system also means customers can be confident their item is in the best hands.

As SoonAs is available as web and app-based delivery service only, gone are the days of half-day time slots, collecting parcels from your neighbours, following instructions from a small piece of card or queuing at the post office on a Saturday because you missed a mid-week delivery.

SoonAs is initially launching in five locations – Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and Milton Keynes. The service will soon be made available to consumers up and down the country with local drivers’ live bids on customer jobs being shown directly to them via the app.

Sharon Watts, Business Manager at SoonAs said: “SoonAs is disrupting the delivery sector and taking the complexities out of organising deliveries. We put ourselves in the consumers shoes and have created a delivery service suited to their needs.”

“With the digital led service, we are offering greater flexibility to both consumers and drivers, empowering them to take deliveries into their own hands. Customers can arrange deliveries to suit their lifestyles rather than operating to the traditional delivery slot model.”

“SoonAs also offers greater ease and flexibility to drivers to manage their own prices, working patterns and lifestyle. Almost anyone can earn money as a driver through the SoonAs platform.”

“We want to showcase to people that they can easily organise independent deliveries of their items or become a delivery driver without needing to know complex product or logistical information.”

“While we are initially piloting SoonAs in five locations, our aspiration is that it will soon be a nationwide service, powered by our new website and app that will allow users to easily organise their deliveries, with access to cost-efficient and convenient delivery services like never before.”

With a vast rise in online shopping and app-based services in the food and grocery market, SoonAs addresses the desire from UK customers for simpler delivery processes with full driver transparency and journey tracking.

Beyond any day-to-day items, such as furniture, household appliances, secure documents and medical prescriptions, SoonAs provides an easy and flexible option for people who no longer want to rent a van or undertake the transportation or large items themselves.

For drivers or those looking for more or flexible work, SoonAs offers them chance to be their own bosses and maximise earning potential through the quick and easy system. Drivers can bid or choose jobs to suit their commitments, manage their own prices and not be tied into lengthy contracts with minimum job completion targets.

The SoonAs app is available to download from today on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store with drivers ready to pick-up items as soon as the job is placed.
