NFON AG, one of the world’s leading providers of cloud telephony is celebrating its 10th anniversary. In the spring of 2007, the founders Markus Otto and Fabian Hoppe started with the idea of founding a company that put voice telephony on the Internet. The visionaries recognized the importance of digitization and what changes this development would bring. After ten years of successful and continuous product and company development, the former start-up is not only an important partner for the traditional providers such as Deutsche Telekom, T-Systems and Telefónica, but is now represented in twelve European countries and has a network of more than 1,200 partners.
Hans Szymanski, Chief Executive Officer, NFON AG, looks back on the most successful financial year since the company was founded: "We are extremely pleased and proud of what we have achieved as NFON AG in just ten years. Topics such as digitalisation and transformation are clearly marked by VoIP, and NFON AG has been at the forefront of this digitisation in Europe.”
The company is consistently developing both at a technological level and via expansion. Hans Szymanski continues: "We will continue with our national and international expansion in 2017 and will soon open new locations in Portugal and Italy.” By the end of 2017, NFON AG is also planning to increase its number of employees by 34 per cent.
In the course of its internationalisation, NFON AG is also pushing ahead with its national expansion and is opening a new capital office in Berlin this June. The company, which was founded in Munich in 2007, serves the growing demand for telecoms services for business customers in the region. Hans Szymanski is looking ahead in the anniversary year: "We are growing and opening up new customer groups both nationally and internationally – this development will be met with new office locations.“
