Japan’s NTT Communications is the judges’ choice for Operator of the Year thanks in no small part to the way it is delivering on a clearly-defined strategy. Headquartered in Tokyo, NTT Com has subsidiaries and offices in more than 40 countries and regions worldwide. In April 2016, NTT Com announced a new vision toward 2020 and employed the corporate slogan ‘Transform. Transcend,’ which covers the telco’s own transformation and a commitment to supporting customers’ transformations, creating new value that exceeds customers’ expectations.
NTT Com’s entry showed strength in network, technology and service innovation, as well as sharing robust financial figures for the most recent fiscal year, driven by cost-reduction and process improvement projects. The operator also has a firm focus on customer care and provided evidence of customer satisfaction.
