Press Release

Snom has appointed Steven Try as a channel manager for the UK and Ireland. In his role, he will work closely with mid-level resellers, helping Snom to offer an even greater level of support to both new and existing partners.

Steven’s appointment expands Snom’s UK-based channel management team – he joins Lee Underwood, who has been part of the team since 2019. Underwood’s primary focus remains on working with Snom’s distributors and platform partners, as well as its largest resellers.

Steven has worked in the telecoms industry for nearly 20 years, starting out at Alcatel-Lucent before spending time at Avaya, Panasonic and – for the past 3 years – with a Titanium 3CX reseller. He is highly skilled in direct sales within the SMB market – in addition to on-premise and hosted software, he has vast experience with connectivity, mobile phone contracts and managed services.

Steven commented: “Snom is synonymous with quality and this is something I value – I need to believe in a product in order to successfully communicate it to customers. Snom is also a very tight knit team. There is a real sense of togetherness, which is essential when you have teams working independently across the globe.”

Try continued: “Snom UK wants to have the market penetration it has elsewhere in Europe. We’re aiming to become the vendor of choice for resellers who have multiple handsets in their product portfolio. As the team puts it, we want to ‘Snomify’ the UK comms market – and we can only achieve this by continuing to look after our existing partners and recruiting new ones.”

Lee Underwood, Channel Manager UK&I at Snom, said: “It’s a pleasure to be working alongside Steven. I’m looking forward to seeing what we can achieve together as a team and extending Snom’s presence further in the UK and Ireland.”
