Press Release

Sparkle, the first international service provider in Italy and among the top ten global operators, participates to 4 Weeks 4 Inclusion (4W4I), the inter-company event that this year sees over 200 companies engaged in a four-week consecutive marathon on inclusion, with a rich program of digital events dedicated to the 700.000 employees of the partner companies.

4W4I is an initiative conceived by TIM to raise awareness on the issues of inclusion and diversity. After the success of the 2020 edition, this year more than 200 companies alternate from 22 October to 22 November in a choral narration of inclusion stories, sharing best practices, models and tools to enhance all forms of diversity: from disability to intergenerational confrontation, from the enhancement of the female contribution, to sexual orientation and gender identity, to ethnicity and religion.

Sparkle’s presence at 4W4I takes the form of the narration of the "Young Women Empowerment Program" (YEP), a project promoted by Fondazione Ortygia Business School to support the personal and professional growth of female university students in Southern Italy and to which Sparkle adheres by supporting the development of young talents in Sicily, which has always been a strategic region for TIM Group’s global operator.

At the 2021 edition, Sicilian students enrolled in master’s degree courses in economic and scientific disciplines at the universities of Palermo and Catania have been supported by as many Sparkle managers through individual mentoring sessions that offered useful tools to guide their academic and career choices, develop merit and promote ambition and confidence in the future. Joining YEP is part of Sparkle’s broader commitment to the development of female presence and to the reduction of gender disparity in a traditionally male-dominated technological sector.

During the webinar, moderated by Gini Dupasquier, Managing Director of Ortygia Business School, and enriched by a speech by State Undersecretary Anna Ascani, the mentees will talk about their experience in being in contact with a high-tech working reality.

The event will be broadcast on 15 November at 2 pm CET, with English subtitles and translation in the Italian Sign Language: to participate, simply register on http://www.4w4i.it.
