At last weeks World Communication Awards, Total Telecom caught up with Cormac Whelan – CEO UK&I at Nokia.

Nokia are the sponsors of the Smart Cities Award, which was won by Cambridge Broadband Networks for their work in Rzeszow, Poland and he explained why he thought the awards are important, as well as going on to explain what challenges he believes are facing the telecom market and how telcos must reinvent themselves to survive.

These were the 20th annual World Communication Awards and brought together hundreds of people from across the telecoms industry. Next years awards will take place on the 30 October 2019, find out more at worldcommsawards.com
