The past seven years paint a roadmap of the journey of Gfast, from the days of fluctuating bitrate on VDSL2 profiles to extending the spectrum on short copper to push 10 gigabits-per-second.
xDSL Technology Strategist for Nokia Paul Spruyt discussed the evolution of Gfast over the years at Gigabit Access 2018, as service providers continue to seek new ways to deliver ultrafast broadband to end-users. The current focus is addressing the last mile, that all-important but short section of copper that is key to higher speeds and more capacity.
