Dell EMC exec Brian Humphries to join U.K.-based telco in February.

Vodafone on Tuesday named Brian Humphries, COO of Dell EMC’s infrastructure solutions group, as its new group enterprise director.

He succeeds Nick Jeffery, who was appointed as CEO of Vodafone UK in July.

Humphries will take up his new role on 1 February 2017, reporting to Voda’s group CEO Vittorio Colao.

"Brian has extensive and diverse international leadership experience and a strong track record in driving market share growth. We are delighted to welcome him to Vodafone," Colao said, in a statement.

Prior to Dell EMC, Humphries held various roles at H-P, including but not limited to senior vice president of emerging markets, chief of staff to the chairman and CEO, and chief financial officer of H-P Services.

As group enterprise director, Humphries will be in charge of Vodafone’s enterprise business across local markets and internationally. His responsibilities will include Vodafone Global Enterprise, the IoT business, and Vodafone’s cloud and carrier services divisions.

As of 30 September, Vodafone’s enterprise operations accounted for 28% of group revenue.
