VueTel has officially landing in the USA. The Italian company specialized in international telecommunications whose reference markets are focused in North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.
The group has just established VueTel USA, activating a data center in New York with the intention to connect the US to Africa. The headquarters is located in Holmdel, New Jersey, in the renovated building that historically housed the Bell Labs’ laboratories, while the technological infrastructures are located in New York, at the prestigious 60 Hudson Street.
With the new center, the group aims to provide the United States with data services and anti-fraud systems, based on artificial intelligence principles. VueTel is now dedicated to large companies and corporations in the US market, characterized by the presence of great players who often do not have a direct focus on Africa.
With the activation of the PoP of New York, and the openings in London, Paris, Marseilles, Milan, Palermo, VueTel considers itself a reference point for the international level, wholesale voice-data market focused on Africa. Among the African countries in which the group is present in are: Tunisia, where the company has established the local "VueTelSi", Egypt, Algeria, Libya, Benin, Togo, Niger, Mali, Ghana, Nigeria, Burkina Faso and Angola.
To point out some interesting data: from 2000 to today, Africa has experienced a strong increase in both fixed and mobile connectivity. According to data from the Internet World States, the internet users of the continent have gone from about 4.5 million in 2010 to almost 350 million in 2017. The current penetration level is around 28%, just over half of the rest of the world , but exponential growth is expected, which by 2020 will bring African to levels comparable to the world average.
