Yvonne Li
Far EasTone Telecommunications
Yvonne Li joined FarEasTone in November 2000 and held various positions, including CFO and CCO, before becoming the company’s president in September 2010. She brought with her significant experience in financial and operations management in the banking world, having served as CFO of Standard Chartered and spent nine years at Citibank.
Yvonne undertook a major management restructuring at Far EasTone, shifting corporate strategy to focus on digital and cloud services, ICT and fintech, with a view to offsetting the decline in traditional telecoms revenue. The company has made notable progress in technology development in 5G and IoT, while also winning plaudits for its network speed and pushing ahead with 2G shutdown and migration to 3G and 4G, as well as collaborating with the government on rural coverage initiatives. In addition, Yvonne has strengthened the Far EasTone brand with numerous CSR initiatives. As a result, the judges voted to name her CEO of the Year.
