Press Release

WhiteSpider, the UK headquartered company that designs, builds and supports next-generation IT systems, has launched a range of managed services specifically for Software Defined (SD) architectures. An expansion of the company’s Arecibo portfolio of managed services, the new offering enables organisations transitioning to SD environments to ensure their IT systems continue to run at optimal performance in line with their evolving business requirements.

As part of its expanded portfolio, WhiteSpider can now configure and manage Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) environments, Cisco SD Access infrastructures as well as SD WAN solutions from all leading vendors, all on an as-a-service basis. With SD controllers hosted in its UK-based data centre, WhiteSpider is able to centrally manage and rollout SD services over enterprise infrastructures, enabling customers to benefit from the flexibility and agility of SD technology via a predictable, pay-as-you-go model.

Underpinning the new SD managed services offering is WhiteSpider’s unique Arecibo monitoring service that focuses on the user experience of network applications. Any deterioration in an individual’s experience provides an early warning system that there could be an impending issue with an application or device elsewhere on the network. This approach allows the WhiteSpider team to identify and mitigate issues before the escalate, helping to ensure that employees, customers and partners always experience optimal performance.

Working closely with Cisco Systems, WhiteSpider has built a sizeable and diverse portfolio of SD deployments in the UK helping many organisations to benefit from the increased flexibility, better use of IT resources, and faster service deployment that these bring. The company also has its own dedicated SD lab enabling clients and partners to better understand the true capabilities of SD technologies.

“Although the benefits of Software Defined Architectures have been well documented, the design and implementation phases require specialist skills and detailed understanding,” said Phil Lees, WhiteSpider’s CTO. “From our work with customers and our close association with Cisco we know we are leading the field when it comes to practical, real world expertise in building SD IT systems. Now we are taking our expertise one stage further by providing managed services to organisations that have transitioned to SD Architectures.”

Backed by stringent SLAs, WhiteSpider’s Arecibo managed services include a Helpdesk that is staffed by UK-based, skilled technical experts and ongoing business support providing clients with training and ongoing evaluation and recommendations related to emerging technologies.

In additional to these new SD solutions, WhiteSpider’s managed services portfolio also includes fully managed wireless networks, plus Backup, Disaster Recovery, and Desktop as-a-service solutions.
