UK opens national quantum computing centre

The UK’s NQCC officially opened last week by Science Minister Lord Vallance. Located at the Harwell Campus in Oxfordshire, the 4,000-square-meter facility will house 12 quantum computers used for further research into quantum technology.

UK government pledges £45m in quantum research funding

Today, the UK government has announced that it will invest £45 million in the country’s quantum sector as part of its ongoing commitment to become a quantum-enabled economy by 2033. The funding is part of the UK’s national quantum strategy, which was published in March last year.
